About Carl & Earl

It started, like most things in this house, because of the cats.

Carl & Earl is a small online cat goods store named after the two cats who inspired it. Carl, who is deeply suspicious of everything, naps approximately 20 hours a day, and has never once come when called.

And Earl, who will personally greet every visitor, knock anything off any surface out of pure curiosity, and has never met a human he didn't immediately love.

Between the two of them, they cover the full spectrum of cat personality. Carl is unbothered. Earl is everywhere.

We started Carl & Earl because we wanted a store that felt like it was actually run by cat people. Not a generic pet shop, but somewhere that understands what it's like to rearrange your entire home around an animal who may or may not acknowledge you exist.

Everything we carry is picked with care. If it wouldn't work for Carl and Earl, it doesn't make the cut.
